Thursday, 08 September 2022, #LESTARILAHINDONESIA season #08 has presented Yana Arsyadi as a consultant from Yana Arsyadi Consulting and also co-founder from Celebrating Indonesia.

Celebrating Indonesia itself was born from the research and development results of Yana Arsyadi Consulting, where the majority of companies focus on the weaknesses they have when developing the organization. Meanwhile, Yana Arsyadi chose to focus on appreciative inquiry and strength-based transformation. By "celebrating strength" the name Celebrating Indonesia was finally born.

Dwi R. Muhtaman (LATIN-Remark Asia) as the host, finally asked the question "How can Celebrating Indonesia contribute to a better village life?"

According to Yana Arsyadi “DNA, tradition, is our identity. In Indonesia, our unhappiness is caused by us wanting something that is not us”. One of the happiness predictors is through being grateful. Celebrating Indonesia being a community built to spread happiness, the happiness of small things, how to be grateful for what they themselves have.

Before finally becoming the Celebrating Indonesia community, Yana Arsyadi had conducted various experiments to find the best 'recipe'. One of them, Lasem District. Using an outsider's point of view, Yana Arsyadi continues to explore strengths in the village, giving confidence to the community that the culture and architecture of the buildings they have are very rich and are appreciated by outsiders of the area.

"How can Celebrating Indonesia promote social forestry?"

Yana Arsyadi stated that the theory used is according to Peter Senge, there are five points that need to be considered in starting a change, one of which is: Change in Mindset: do reimagination, what wealth is like. For example in the forest, "Why are forests considered to make us poor? Whereas the forest is that rich, with its diversity. If we look at it from the side of the log, we will never be rich. If we see forests as part of the system, we can increase the benefits of forests through forest bathing, medicinal plants, and so on.”

"Can we organize social forestry from the village by Celebrating Indonesia?"

If Indonesia is a pyramid, then the biggest base is the village. Maybe not, can we improve anything in Indonesia, not through villages or forests? Impossible.

The conversation ended between Dwi R. Muhtaman (LATIN-Remark Asia) and Yana Arsyadi (Celebrating Indonesia), with a closing question,

"What do you imagine about social forestry and the village of the future?"

Not the future, must start now. What to do, where to do, who to do. I imagine we shot it on film. So that it can be reported to neighboring countries, that there is evidence of a success case. Sharing success stories to neighboring countries.
