Librarian Internship Information

Forestry Social Library at Indonesian Tropical Nature Institute (LATIN) looking for motivated, dynamic and agile for Librarians. The main task in this librarian apprenticeship program is the processing of library materials which become the collections of the Forestry Social Library.

Time: From July 2023
Duration: Minimum 3 months

Requirements:

1. Weeding (collection curation)
2. Inventory (checking collections, grouping collections, tasting, and recording)
3. Classification (Collection classification, the process of grouping books based on the subjects or contents of the relevant library materials using the DDC classification system)
4. Data input (collection cataloging, scanned collection covers, barcoding, and barcoding tests)
5. Labeling (Labeling (classification number and book code number) on the back of the book/collection)
Shelving (Arrangement of collections of library materials on available shelves. Placement of collections on shelves is adjusted based on classification number)
Qualification:
1. Final semester or fresh graduates are welcome to join, preferably Librarian
2. Understand the basics of digital archiving and library management
3. Can operate Slims
4. High initiative
5. Willing to work from the office
6. Maximum Age 30 Years
