FSC is seeking candidates for a technical working group to revise its Forest Management Evaluations Standard and its associated addenda. The call for applicants is open until 20 November 2020.October 30, 2020Share With Friends
The objective of the technical working group is to review and reconsider the fundamental approach of FSC towards forest management evaluations, including evaluation methods, intensity, frequency, duration, data gathering, reporting, and more. FSC is particularly seeking technical experts or auditors working with FSC or other sustainability standards, as well as certificate holders.
The technical working group will be comprised of four participants. The ideal applicant should have expertise in auditing or implementing forest management standards, group certification, and/or in small forest owners. Experience with incorporating risk-based approaches and new technologies is also desirable.
Please check the terms of reference – available at the end of this article – for all the necessary requirements. FSC will cover all travel costs associated with the in-person meetings of the technical working group (to take place if current world circumstances allow it, if not they will be replaced by virtual meetings). If required, a stipend can be granted by FSC on a case-by-case basis.

Candidates are invited to fill in the application form and send it with their CV to Diana Franco Gil, Policy Manager (Forest Management Program) at firstname.lastname@example.org, by 20 November 2020.
